Street Committee reported on graveling by the Co . of South
Third Street.
Upon rc�cornendation of the Finance Committee , the Council
agreed to take $1000. 00 for the old Tim Rowley Tract , between
Smith and Temperance and Jason and Calhoun 17ay.
Upon motion it was decided to proceed with the work at Sec .
Willis , if and when a letter is received from the Contractor
agreeing to wait for the money until it is available.
Bids were openrd for material from The A.P.Smith Co. , The
Hugh G. Purcell Co . , Crane Co . , The J1n_erican Cast Iron Pipe Co r;
. The Atlas Concrete Pipe Co. , The Howard Concrete Pipe Co . and
The Concrete Pipe Co . and upon motion th)e same were refered to
the Water Committee and the Engineer for checking and award,
v,ith power to act.
