Kent, Washington, August 6, 1934.
Regular meeting of the City Council; present Mayor Boucher
and Councilmen Hardy, Miller, Naden, Sells & Wooden.
Minutes of the meeting of July 16, last, read and approved
Report of the Police Judge for the month of July was pres-
ented and filed.
Matter of a special Policeman for the Pence place v,,as re-
fered to the Police Committee, with power_to act.
Comunications from the Kent National Bank, the First Nat.
Bank and one from J. Harvey Leach were read and filed.
Ordinance No. 655, fixing the salaries of officers was
read and upon motion placed upon its final passage and car-
ried by the unanimous vote of all of the Councilmen present.
Chief Bridges of %e Fire Dept. read his re ort on the Con-
vention at Vancover, Wash., held July 26 to 29, last.
Upon motion the Fire Dept. vras given permission to purchas
an 85 gal. booster tank for the fir truck.
