—Regular meeting of the City Council; present Mayor Boucher
and Councilmen Dunn, Hardy, Miller, Naden.
Minutes of June 18th. last, read and approved.
Report of the Police Judge, for June, presented and filed.
Upon motion the contract between the First Nat. Bank and
the City'of Kent, was adopted and the Mayor and Clerk direct-
ed the same; the conract being in relation to•the payment of
bonds of Dist. No. 200 bonds held by the said bank.
The Clerk was directed to hold up one half of the bill of
kobt. Hurt until he had finished the street mowing.
Upon motion the Clerk was directed to pay the 35 % of the
W—E.R.A.. pay roll weekly, up to "P1085, the Cities share of
the project.
Upon motion a Resolution was adopted protesting the width
of the' opening left in State Road No. 5, just. south of the
White River Bridge.
The Western Foundation for the Blind was given permission
to hold a street dance some Saturday night during the month
of July.

The City Council of said City0hae made a personal. 1,Ms-
togaltionoand together with the City Engineer,are of the same Opinion.
The City Couw:all of the City of Kent. therefore desires
at this time to enter a formal protest, contending that in their
opl,nion the openings left In roadway fills.and at the approaches
to the bridge referred to aboveg will not be sufficient to allow
free flow of flood waterh,thereby endangering the property of.
the City of Kent and of its resident property owners*
IT IS RESOLVED by the City of Kent At its council meeting
in the City Hall on July *1934# that this resolution and pro'tmsto
be entered of record of said citysand a copy thereof sent to the
Director of Highways. Passed by the City Council, by unanimous vote
