Kent , Washington, April 18 , 1934.
Adjurned Regular meeting of the City Counc il; present Mayor
Boucher and Councilmen Dunbar , Dunn, Hardy, Miller , Naden,
Sells and Wooden.
Agreement between the City of Kent and the National Grey-
hound Racing Association for a race track in 'the City of Kent
was presented and read.
Protests against the agreement were read from M. E. Church
Board, the Presbyterian Church Board and a petition signed by
42 names , also a letter was read from Prof. Gellerman of the
Kent Wchools advising the Council to investigate.xzxxxz .
A motion was made and seconded to adopt the agreement ,af to
the same had been approved by the Finance Committee of the
City Council and the motion was carried by the following vote
Councilmen Dunn, Hardy, Naden; Miller , Sells and Wooden Vot-
ing "Aye" and Councilman Dunbar voting "Nay" .
No further business appearing the meeting, upon motion,
did then adjurn.
