Clerks report for the month of may presented and filed.
RESOLUTION clearing title to lot 6 , block 9 , W.c3.I .Co ' First
Addition to Kent, read and adopted as follows:
IT IS RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Kent , that in
order to procure title to the City of Kent of lot 6, block 9 , W.C.

. I . D. Fund No. 184 the sum of $19.09 , gi g g the am
L. I .D.assessments on said lot at the time of sale , with accrued int.
to this date; and tnat there also be paid $174.00 , amt.1du a t time
of sale , in District No. 151 , and also the sum of $34
at time of sale in District E0. 182, a total of p208.14; that as
there are no outstanding warrants or bonds in said districts 151
and 182, said amounts are to be credited to L. I . General Fund.
The Street Committee reported that the grass was being mowed
on the streets.
A comunication from the Ross Valve Co . was read and filed.
The City Attorney was instructed to write the Miller Engineer-
ing Co. in reguard to the reservoir valve thattheyhad placed at
the reservoir and that had failed to give satisfaction. The Matter
of the replacement of the valve with a new one was left to the
.eater committee , with power to act.
Bids for the construction of a sidewalk on the east side of
Clarx street , from Smity street to Temperance street were opened
and read as follows: N. T. Barnes , $277 .20; ►i. J. Afler Co. $372.04:
"art and Shaughnessy, $280.34: Joe Bush, $196.40: r. J . Bouldren ,
$199.12 and A. Sandwick, $275.10.
Upon Motion the contract was awarded to W. J. Bouldron for the
Sum of $199.12.

Bids for the construction of a dater System Wearhouse were open-
ed and read as follows: N. T. Barnes , $3441.42; Fred- Straub , 43300.E
A. Sandrrick, 13345M; and 7-1. J. Bouldren, $3303.10

Upon motion the contract was awarded to F. A. Strob for the som
of $3300.00.
Clerk instructed to write to W. B. Brinton, Co. Commissioner,
in regusr4 to getting some help from the Co . to repair west Meeker
street in this city.
Matter of a new burner for the furnace room was refered to- the
Building Committee.
