Regular meeting of the City Council; present Mayor Murker and Coun- cilmen Boundy, Boyk,er, Dunbar, Leach & Wooden. Minutes of the meeting of March 16th. ,last , read and approved. Police report for March presented and filed. Water Com. recomended that a water line be laid on VanDeVanter Ave. from Guiberson St. to Dean St. , rith one hydrant on Dean St.11 Crows corner, also renew line and place one hydrant on• Fifth Ave. So. as soon as there are funds sufficient. New btreet lights ordered at Naden & Meeker, Third & Crow and one on Third So. of Crow St. Finance Com. was given authority to sell lot 7, block C, Crows Addition, for expense of transaction and one dollar. The City Attorney was upon motion , authorized to index the Ord- inances of the City , at an expense of not to exceed 020.00. RESOLUTION to vacate the So. end of State Street , was read and adopted as follows: IT IS RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TILE CITY OF h.FNT, that on the petition of William Boundy and Nellie Guiberson, owners of the property abutting on the east and west sides of the south end of State street, for the vacation of that portion of State street from the junction with the south line of Titus street , to the end of the said State street , That the said petition be- received and that all persona who may desire to object to the said vacation are hereby notif*ed to file the same with the City Clerk, or to appear and pre- sent said objections to the City Council , at a meeting, to be held in the City Hall , in the said City of Kent , at 8 o 'clock p .m. on the 18th. day of May, 1931 , which time and place is hereby set for the hearing of all matters relating to said vacation, and any objections thereto. That the City Clerk is directed to give notice - of said hearing as required by law. Upon motion the American Concrete Pipe Co . was ordered paid the amount of $138.75, for hills held out at time of settlement. Claims read and allowed as follows: Glauber Brass Mfg. Co.
