Regular meeting of the City Council; present Mayor Murker and Council-
men Boundy, Boucher, Dunbar and Wooden.
Minutes of the meeting of December let. last , read and approved.
Clerks report and the Budget report for the month of November presented
and filed.
Building Committee reported , recomending the placing of -a permanent
partition through at about the middle of the auditorium; the report and
recomendation was adopted.
Comunication from the DesMoines-Zenith Improvement Club read and filed.
Petition for the paving of Shinn street , from Fourth Ave. to First
Ave . was read and refered for checking.
Ordinance No. 616 , providing method of Contractors and others doing
work in the streets and public places , was read and upon motion placed
upon its final passage and carried by the unanimous vote of all of the
Councilmen present .
Matter of drain at the alley on Meeker, between Second Avenue and First
Avenue , was refered to the Drainage Committee.
Water Committee reported recomending the payment of Est. No. 5, to
the American Concrete Pipe Co. , in amount of $2714.74.
Upon motion the Fire Dept. was- given permission to blow the Siren a
short blast every day at 12 o ' clock, Noon, for purpose of test. .
Comunication from the American Concrete Pipe Co. was read and filed
and upon motion the contract was accepted , as of. December 5th. , last.
